She later earned her Educational Specialist (2011) and Doctoral (2022) degrees from Samford University. Dr. Cunningham has recently retired from the state of Alabama. Her many years of high school classroom instruction include teaching English 9, 10, 11, 12, AP Literature, Theatre 1 and 2, and ACT Prep.
